Whats pop’n on the First Saturday in Brooklyn!!

The first Saturday of the month is usually special on it’s own, but when you take it a step further, and throw in, African inspired fashion and food, rich local culture, world music and dance, and timeless art by incredible people it becomes a Brooklyn “THING”!

For culture you MUST stop in for the Museum Party at the Brooklyn Museum! Just once a month all of Brooklyn’s talent and culture come to join in the festivities at the open house soiree that boast live music, food and drinks and FREE! If you’re shopping around Barclay Center hop over to Ft. Greene and grab some authentic African garments from our Uncle on the block, MOSHOOD of Moshood Creations on Fulton street near Not Ray’s Pizza. blackownedbrooklyn did a wonderful piece on this Brooklyn institution that I would like to share. If you’re headed up Flatbush Ave check out Brooklyn’s Hip-Hop trinity, at the #houseofbrooklyn “Vinnie’s Styles”! Fashioned from their late grandpa Vinny from way back in the days. Where you’ll find those hard to get jump offs to rock tonight at the Brooklyn Museum. We’ll see you there!!
