What a truly Brooklyn experience means to me?
Born in Brooklyn Hospital, and lived in: Ft. Green Brooklyn in the 70’s, Crown Heights 80’s, Boerum Hill 90’s, back to Ft.Greene 90’s, and then Williamsburg, first in 92 and back again in 2008. And I consider all of these wonderful neighborhoods and communities, “my hoods“.
So what does it mean to be TRULYBROOKLYN?
The truly Brooklyn I look for consists of the “seasoning” of the borough, that which makes it such a delicious gumbo of culture. Featuring and focusing on truly Brooklyn places, people, brands and products. We support upcoming talent in music, fashion and art, and serve as a beacon for those which have authentic roots in the community.
Our contributors are local, and explorers who value the old school Brooklyn ways and traditions, and equally embrace the ever changing communities of today. We focus on Showing off everything from well rooted Mom-n-Pop Shops, BAM and Brooklyn Museums’ first Saturday. Attending all the hottest neighborhood Street fairs and Block parties, sharing the story from right there, on the spot!
Our crew want you to know what house party that is on the roof around the corner, what Jamaican spot with the best Jerk Chicken, or the best brunch ion the hood. And when the local pub hosts a talented Brooklyn band live, or an art exhibition…. yep, we want you to know about that too.
“When you are visiting Brooklyn, or wish to try something new, we can help you plan your trip and plot your course!”
So let us show you around the borough.
