The Smorgasburg in Williamsburg has stepped indoors this Fall, to bring you their delectable delights, along with The Brooklyn Flea. There are 16 different food stands to tickle even the pickiest of taste buds. Some of the stands included are: Carlos Barbeque Taqueria, The Pizza Cupcake, Destination Dumplings, The Blue Chicken, Jianbing and Valentine Burgers.
We had the pleasure of tasting the special, Lox Rice Cracker, at Mao’s Boa, and meeting the chef, Brian Staub, who collaborated with the owner, Sheng Jian Boa, on this creation. It looked almost too beautiful to eat. The aroma emitting from this dish was so good they had the longest line in the room, which thankfully went quickly. And check out their delicious fried dumplings that looked like something out of a photo shoot. I mean wow!
If you’re a sweets lover, you are in luck! DOUGH Doughnutshttps://www.doughdoughnuts.com/, are in the building, making the fluffiest doughnuts with seasonal flavors like Apple Beignet, Pumpkin and Eggnog Cream, while Bona Bona, offers their Italian twist on ice cream, which is a mix of Italian Gelato and American style ice cream. We even got to see them use the blow torch to toast the Italian style whip cream they used to top off the cones. Delizioso. They also sell a Waffle Cookie Dough Sundae and a S’mores Lava Cake. Yummm!
Enjoy a nice cold brew at their bar, or if you’re feelin fancy, try a Rosé, Prosecco or Mimosa, and get into that Funday, type of mode. Take 25% off of all food and 50% off of all drink purchases (except for beer and wine) when you use #ApplePay. They even have a tagline, for using Apple Pay, “Less Waiting More Eating.” #Smorgasburg is open Saturday’s and Sunday’s until March from 10-6:00pm at 25 Kent Avenue 8th floor in Willy B, BK.
